Schengen Visa Overview
The Schengen Visa- a Schengen Visa is a government-authorized short-term visa issued by any of the 29 Schengen member countries – and allows the holder to travel freely within the Schengen zone.
A Schengen Visa entitles the holder to visit Schengen countries for tourism, visiting friends/family – or other non-business purposes for up to 90 days.
Documents Required for a Schengen Tourist Visa
When applying for a Schengen Tourist Visa, you will need to provide the following supporting documents:
- A valid passport.
- Any old passports, if applicable.
- A completed and signed visa application form.
- Proof of hotel bookings, flight reservations, and a detailed itinerary of your activities during your stay in the Schengen area.
- Schengen travel insurance or health insurance that covers medical emergencies within the Schengen Area, with a minimum coverage of 30,000 euros.
- Evidence of sufficient financial means to support your travel and stay.
- Documents that confirm your civil status, such as a marriage certificate or children’s birth certificates.
